How do I decide on possible study areas and careers while still at school? This assessment forms part of a career development process, which typically happens during the FET-phase eg Grades 10 to 12 to:

• Prepare for tertiary education and choose the appropriate institution eg: university, academic or technical colleges; University of Technologies etc. ;
• Optimize appropriate and suitable study- and career choices;
• Enhance self-knowledge and insight by providing information about intellectual strengths and weaknesses; personality; interests and aptitudes; and;
• Enable the young adult to make informed choices regarding potential career options.
